The most appealing aspect of the Mongol Empire was that they manage a little army that only had about like 1000 people to start with an ended making it army huge and controlling almost 2/3 of the world. They did it in less then 80 years. It took Rome maybe couple of generations to control all that land. What the Romans didn’t have was good archery and combine with the fact they were good horsemen. They also were never in one place they moved around a lot. So that made it hard to invade a city that always was moving around. And they would setup little huts around the city that they would invade. And that is how he could get to his enemies. By being so close. He also allowed people to join his army instead of in slavering them. He used Chinese engineers to build a lot of there weapons.
I think the most appealing part of the Mongols is their culture. They hold Genghis Kahn in high regard in Mongolia. His conquests were very great. Because of him the Mongol Empire was one of the largest empires ever. It is also interesting how some people in Mongolia still live a life similar to their ancestors. Some still ride horses there and horses are very important. And horse archery is very popular. Some people also live in yurts. How the Mongols built and handled the Empire was also an appealing aspect. Genghis Kahn tried to unite the Mongols and he did. He promoted warriors bases on skill and not on hereditary status or social status but on skill. He also brought together all the experts from the lands they conquered in their capital city and made them learn from each other.
